Tiffany & Co. Columbian Emerald Cabochon in a Platinum Ring Setting with Diamonds
This Art Deco ring from the 1900s exemplifies the term “wearable art.” A typical Tiffany & Co. masterpiece, it starts out with a platinum ring setting. The cushion cabochon-cut bright green Columbian emeraldweighs in at 3.60cts. To enhance the presentation of the gem, artisans added 16 round diamonds that weigh a collective .48cts. Another two step-cut trapezoid diamonds weigh a total of .40cts. To enhance the feel of texture, the jewelry maker also added two baguette-cut diamonds that weigh a collective .08cts. From all angles, the Art Deco style influences are clearly visible. A true masterpiece!
Ruby Cabochon Bracelet with Diamonds
Artisans used 20k yellow and white gold for the creation of this bracelet. It features 34 oval ruby cabochons, weighing a combined 28.60cts, that present in a double row. In between each cabochon pair, you see a row of diamonds set in white gold. There are 80 round diamonds with a collective weight of .58cts. Wear this attractive bracelet for special occasions.
Cabochon Ruby Gold Necklace from Italy
If you are an aficionado of fine Italian vintage jewelry, then you cannot allow this necklace to pass you by. At a length of 17.5 inches, it looks fantastic around the neck. The material is 18k yellow gold. It presents as a three-row panther design. Three translucent red cabochon-cut rubies with a combined weight of 4.50cts are channel-set into three distinct sections. Look closely! Another 60 square rubies weigh a collective 4.80cts and present as section borders. We have not been able to find another necklace like this one.
1940s Retro Art Deco Pin Set
This jewelry set pays homage to the growing 1940s appreciation of pin sets as well as the Retro Art Deco movement. At a length of three inches and a width of 1 ¾ inches each, these pins are quite noticeable. The setting material is a combination of 14k white and yellow gold. The pins feature the ribbon design that would become so popular over the next couple of decades. Twenty-four round cabochon-cut sapphires weigh a combined 7.2cts.
Add 48 oval cabochon-cut sapphires at a collective weight of 48.0cts, and you have the makings of an interesting design. Examine this set more closely! The sapphires disconnect from the setting and can become their own pin set! To add even more interest to the look of these pins, jewelers also added two round rutile crystal cabochons with a combined weight of 22.0cts. Wow!
