Pear-shaped Ruby Jewelry for July Birthdays

Did you know that the birthstone for July is the ruby? Said to imbue its owner with wisdom, a healthy life and love, too, it is a favorite birthday present for those celebrating. When you are looking for something that is a bit out of the ordinary, we recommend our collection of jewels featuring pear-shaped rubies.

Bold Red Pear-shaped Ruby Earrings with Diamonds

Artisans selected 14k yellow gold to create the settings for two pear-shaped rubies. Their combined weight is .95cts. Twenty-two round diamonds weighing a collective .60cts surround these red gemstones and bring out the bold color. The jewels measure 7/16 inches by 5/16 inches. These earrings are suitable for wear to the office or for special occasions.

Pear-shaped Ruby Pendant with Multiple Diamond Types in Gold

This is a highly unusual pendant. It shows off the artistry of the jeweler who created this amazing piece. It starts with 14k yellow gold for the setting. The focal point is a genuine ruby that weighs .80cts. Accentuating the beauty of the deep red are 12 baguette-cut white diamonds weighing a collective .25cts. To create a round counterpoint, artisans added three marquise diamonds weighing a combined .21cts. This pendant measures 15mm in height and 13.5mm in width.

Pear-shaped Ruby in a Ring Setting with a Sapphire and Diamonds

Although the pear-shaped ruby weighing .50cts is supposed to play a secondary role to a blue oval sapphire weighing .40cts, it clearly steals the show. Jewelers set the stones in a 14k yellow gold ring setting. Studded on the side with five round full-cut diamonds weighing a collective .05cts, this ring is an attention getter. Its solid design feels good on the hand and looks great.

Slide Pendant with Ruby, Sapphires, Diamond and Emerald

This fun design reminds of a floral motif. It starts with an 18k yellow gold setting. The pear-shaped ruby weighs .70cts. Set across from it is a pear-shaped emerald weighing .65cts. Two pear-shaped sapphires weighing a combined .40cts complete the design. At the center is a round diamond weighing .16cts. The pendant hangs from an 18.5-inch gold link chain. It is easy to lose yourself in the beauty of these gems.
It is interesting to note that plenty of times jewelry makers select a ruby as a supporting stone. Without noticing it, this particular gem gradually turns into the focal point of the piece. As a result, you cannot go wrong buying ruby jewels even if there are other gemstones parts of the design.
